Here at Broadley Rees Hogan Lawyers, we have a tradition of giving back to our community, particularly charities that rely heavily on fundraising activities and donations.

We are one of the sponsors of the annual Chain Reaction Challenge, a corporate bike ride of 1000 kilometres over 7 days. In 2022, the Chain Reaction Challenge was held in Tasmania, the southernmost state in Australia.

This year the Queensland riders raised the highest amount for a Chain Reaction ride, by raising more than $1.5 million dollars. Over the last 15 years Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation has raised more than $36 million dollars.

Michael Byrom, Head of our Property Services group, has been closely involved in the Challenge since 2008 and has now completed 15 rides for the Foundation.

AEIOU Foundation and Traction were this year’s principal charity partners for the Queensland Challenge. These funds raised will provide tangible infrastructure for early intervention programs for children with autism, and mentoring and training for young children and adolescents.

We are excited to provide you with a link to view a snapshot of this marvellous 7-day event which features the legendary voice of Phil Liggett.

On the ride, our Head of Property Services, Michael Byrom was the team captain for one of the Hutchinson Builders teams. Hutchies is a major Australian construction company, who along with many other local business and corporates share our philosophy and support Chain Reaction Challenge Foundation.
